Supercar influencer James William Walker decided to take his Turbo S up past 200 miles per hour. How much faster? See for yourself.
Porsche's new generation of the 911 has received the internal code '992' to designate it as the successor to the 991 generation. Though every 911 other than the GT3 will receive turbochargers—a first for the long-standing nameplate—the all-wheel-drive beast sitting at the top of the lineup is still the 911 Turbo S. And now, the new 992 Turbo S has been making the rounds across the globe, where it's roundly beat up legit supercars that cost multiple times more in price. A new video from the YouTube channel Mr JWW might be the most ridiculous yet to the pop up online, as supercar influencer James William Walker decided to take his Turbo S up past 200 miles per hour with only 400 miles on the odometer.
Delivery Driver
The 992-gen Turbo S features some pretty ridiculous specs, highlighted by the twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter flat-six hanging behind the rear axle and producing 640 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. That grunt is routed to all four wheels in classic Turbo form (911 Turbo, Cayenne Turbo, Taycan Turbo—all have all-wheel-drive systems) and an eight-speed PDK gearbox that produces a claimed 2.6-second sprint to 60 miles per hour on the way to a 10.5-second quarter-mile and a top speed of 205 miles per hour.
The Unboxing Video
Mr JWW's decision to take his Turbo S to a VMAX 200 event on a runway where he'll be pushing the car to its limit seems pretty bold, perhaps completely ignoring any sense of a manufacturer's recommended break-in period. But he claims he discussed the concept with Porsche and got the green light, as the Turbo's flat-six is pretty much race-derived.

Blast Off
After discussing the trailer in which the Turbo S gets towed to the runway, Mr JWW then climbs into the cockpit and gets a chance to mash the accelerator pedal. According to the car's digital speedometer, it managed to hit 211 miles per hour, six mph higher than Porsche's claimed top track speed—though independent verification would probably be helpful in this case.
